How does this team contribute to Zomato

The value derived by our users from Zomato’s platform depends on the breadth and depth (available choice) of restaurants they find on Zomato. Our Area Sales Managers play a key role in delivering this value by acquiring and growing relationships with merchants across our Advertising, Online Ordering and Gold Platform.


Our Zomato sales team works simultaneously on multiple fronts - user onboarding, retention along with restaurateur experience and real time payment settlements.


In this role, you will play a key role in acquiring and engaging the right set of restaurants to use Zomato’s products and help users and merchants derive maximum value from it. We are on the look out for someone who has an in depth understanding of the sales ecosystem and the ability to manage and mentor a highly dynamic and young breed of Sales Managers.

Requirements

Here's what we are looking for (Technical Skills)

  • People who have 4-7 years of intensive sales and people management experience
  • Relevant B2B sales experience will be great
  • Familiarity with the geography and market understanding
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and unpredictable work hours


Here's what we are looking for (Soft Skills)

  • Someone who comes with a strong sense of initiative and is comfortable managing and working along with diverse teams and multiple stakeholders
  • A person who is articulate, organized, detail-oriented, tech savvy and has the ability to multi-task


Your typical day as a Zoman will look like

  • A field intensive role where you are required to acquire and manage critical client accounts which have higher degree of complexity in terms of client servicing
  • Mentor the team to handle end-to-end client relationships; including pitching, negotiation, contracting, billing/invoicing, payment collection and troubleshooting
  • Assign targets, allocate leads and track the work of each team member along with ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of their work
  • Maintain area-reports; which include revenue numbers, payment collections and evaluation of performance
