How does this team contribute to Zomato?

The value derived by our users from Zomato’s platform depends on the breadth and depth (available choice) of restaurants they find on Zomato. A Business Development Officer plays a key role in delivering this value by acquiring the right merchants and bringing them on board across our Online Ordering, Adsales and Gold platforms.


Our Zomato sales team works simultaneously on multiple fronts - user on-boarding, experience, and retention along with restaurateur experience and real time payment settlements.

Requirements

Here’s what we are looking for (Technical Skills)

  • 1–2 years of sales experience. Understands sales ecosystem

  • Relevant experience in B2B sales will be advantage

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and unpredictable work hours


Here’s what we are looking for (Soft Skills)

  • Is strong-willed and persuasive
  • Should be presentable, articulate, detail-oriented and is able to multi-task
  • Exhibits initiative and demonstrates the ability to function independently


Your typical day as a Zoman will look like

  • Ensures that Zomato platform across has the most comprehensive selection of restaurants by signing up our target merchants quickly and effectively

  • A field intensive role where you help restaurants engage with their audience and onboard them on Zomato’s platform across

  • Build an in-depth understanding of the restaurants in your city across categories and sign up the right set of merchants to partner with clearly articulate our platforms value proposition to the merchants

  • Efficiently solving problems and making smart decisions to ensure supply is our competitive advantage

  • Post commercial arrangements as a foundation to long-term partnerships with our merchants
