About the role

The Strategic Accounts Head will manage relationships for domestic and international restaurant chains, hotel groups, QSRs and consumer brands Globally. The team will work on all facets of Zomato product offerings and acts as a trusted advisor to clients in developing solutions to meet their needs. Product solutions include Brand Advertising, Food Ordering, Table Reservations, Zomato Gold and a host of other technology solutions aimed at supporting the food and beverage industry.

To accomplish the requirements of this role, we require hands-on and effective business development, strong problem solving skills, astute decision making and effective stakeholder management considering this role entails managing CXO level client relationships. Our Enterprise Sales team need a strong understanding of strategic selling as well as a base understanding of online and traditional media sales.

Here's what you'll do day-to-day

  • Manage a team of Strategic Account Managers to drive CXO level relationships; managing multiple stakeholders within the client organization
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting and achieve sales goals
  • Develop plans for key clients, manage expectations and contribute towards a high level of client satisfaction by driving growth for them
  • Ensure alignment on objectives and outcomes from internal service delivery teams at Zomato - across all product lines
  • Ensure operational success of the client campaigns
  • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and build efficiencies where required
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
  • Actively seek opportunities to integrate multiple Zomato offerings to holistically solve the customer problems and drive better business outcomes for them
  • Contribute to product development as part of meeting the future needs of this client group
  • To drive partner/owner level relationships with the customer (restaurant groups/ chains)
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions


Who fits the bill?

  • We are looking for people who enjoy solving complex problems through analytical excellence and commercial acumen.
  • Should have 7+ years of working in business development, relationship management or consulting type role where emphasis on developing long term partnerships and problem solving (preferably in the restaurant space) and at least 2 years experience in managing a team.
  • Substantial experience in revenue management, business development and sales roles across industry
  • Proven track record at driving high growth revenue upside in a competitive market
  • Data driven, and a logical problem solver with solid experience in sales and customer service
  • Outstanding interpersonal, leadership and public speaking skills
  • Absolute comfort with travelling and meeting clients as required
