Job Description

 

This is 12 month fixed term maternity contract role. It would be a stand-alone role where the successful person will be involved in the day to day business operations and will sit on the extended leadership team. You will be responsible for organizing the day to day the general HR operations of the business and assist with the stream-lining of current HR processes.

 

Key Responsibilities of the role will include:

 

  • Provide timely day-to-day HR advice, support and consultancy to managers and employees in workforce planning, job design, 360 degree recruitment and on-boarding, employee relations, performance management, remuneration, conflict resolution and off-boarding.
  • Support management and employees in the interpretation and adherence to our Awards & Agreements.
  • Provide advice, coaching, feedback and support to the management to effectively manage the performance and development needs of the workforce.
  • Providing advice or attendance in performance management meetings with employees and/or paired with appropriate performance and development plans.
  • Contribute to the development and ensure compliance of HR Policies and Procedures.
  • Other duties consistent with the position where required and/or required.

Requirements

Who you need to be :

 

You need to be a seasoned HR Generalist with a minimum of 6-7 years’ experience in multiple HR Disciplines (Rem & Ben, recruitment & selection, organisation development, org design, workforce practise, fairwork laws) who is ready to bring your skills to challenge the status quo and identify opportunities to innovate in all areas relating to people.

 

You have had experience with end to end performance management and have sound knowledge of legalities relating to people. You love to roll up your sleeves and be amongst the action, it is what ignited your passion for HR and you are excited to get involved with the hard work involved in supporting our journey.

 

You enjoy a fast-paced/high change environment, where you commit to delivering on promises and getting things done. You thrive on the ability to translate a strategy into plan which result in tangible outcomes.

You would describe yourself as a chameleon, being able to shift your language and approach to that of each business unit, allowing you to understand their challenges and build people solutions to mitigate these.

Most of all you are down to earth, approachable and genuine. You are always happy to help your peers and enjoy coaching and mentoring those around you.

It would be a bonus if you have experience in a contact centre environment, Workday HRIS, Work cover and working in an Agile environment

 

Basics for the Role:

  • A degree in HR or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a HR generalist or HR Advisory
  • Ability to manage the day to day whilst drive process improvement projects
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Thrive within a fast paced and changing business
  • A self starter with outstanding organisation and planning skills.
