Zomato is a full stack food tech platform focused on restaurant search, discovery and transactions. Across most of our focus countries, we’re the go to food app for all our users. In the last few years Zomato has also steadily built its transaction business on the back of a strong search and discovery business. Today Zomato has multiple products and services that ensure our users have a great meal, every time!

Over the next few years one of our organizational goals is to build an engine that allows our users to have access to an affordable assortment of high quality meals to eat out or order from. We are working towards the idea of a kitchen-less world where-in most people should have access to great and healthy meals at the same price or cheaper than the cost of preparing them at home. We see cooking as something that people should want to do because it’s a joyous activity instead of being a chore.

About the role:

Zomato Advertising platform provides smart targeting, simpler interface and greater visibility to our well rated advertisers. As a Casual Internal Recruiter you will play a key role in acquiring and engaging the right set of people to who would then become the our revenue generators for Zomato Advertising Platform.

You responsibilities would be :

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to write job ads for current openings
  • Advertise job openings on careers pages, job boards and social networks 
  • Design and implement employee referral programs
  • Source candidates through online channels (e.g. professional networks and portfolio sites)
  • Screen resumes and applications and update candidates on hiring processes
  • Report to hiring managers and HR managers on the status of open positions
  • Evaluate candidates based on their interview and assignment performance
  • Determine qualification criteria for each position
  • Analyze turnover and retention rates to forecast hiring needs
  • Update job descriptions (e.g. add tasks or modify requirements)
  • Answer candidates’ queries regarding the application process
  • Provide interview feedback, when necessary and appropriate
  • Help new hires onboard


Here's what we are looking for:

  • Can work 20-30 hours in a week (3 days)
  • Proven work experience Hiring of Sales/Digital Media roles
  • Solid understanding of full-cycle recruiting and talent pool building
  • Experience using various interview formats (e.g. phone, structured, group)
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
  • Knowledge of digital or sales industry would be beneficial 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
