How does this team contribute to Zomato

 

 

The Classified Business Line is a group made up of Content, Sneak Peek (Editorial) and the

Neutrality departments. Together, the three monitor, develop and contribute to Zomato’s

content and product suite to ensure the availability of relevant information for the use of Zomato’s clients and consumers.

The mission of the Neutrality team is to drive genuine content on Zomato. Be it identifying a spammer who is writing fake reviews for restaurants, paid reviewers, or restaurants engaged in suspicious reviewing activity, our team will do whatever is needed to ensure Zomato remains a platform our users can trust, while ensuring that the content on Zomato remains unbiased.

Zomato Sneak Peek is a team of features writers and editors that work with restaurants and / or external agencies to produce dynamic multi-media content split across various mediums This content lets users know about the restaurant brand and it’s story. This group has local teams currently based out of 8 cities in India as well as other major cities where Zomato operates from.

We are growing and we are looking for a leader with an aptitude for problem solving, ability for astute decision making, strong motivational and interpersonal skills, and ability to lead teams.

Requirements

Here’s what we’re looking for (Technical Skills)

 

  • MBA with 3 years of experience or Bachelors with at least 6 years of experience

  • Proven experience leading cross-functional multidisciplinary teams, with an excellent record for people management

  • Proven experience in managing multiple stakeholders in a large complex organization

  • Proven leadership success in dynamic environments and ability to rapidly anticipate and adapt to shifting priorities

  • Superlative communication skills, both verbal and written, with demonstrated experience presenting and expressing the team’s mandates to internal as well as external stakeholders

  • Excellent people management skills, shaped through experience in leadership roles

  • Proven track record of achieving targets - including planning, managing teams, executing plans to achieve desired business goals

  • Should possess strong work ethic and ownership and a willingness to get their hands dirty and get stuff done

  • Has good business judgment, strong prioritization skills, an unwavering focus, and the ability to multitask while working in a highly charged environment

  • Excellent excel skills and comfortable running independent data analyses

  • Good sense of humor

Your typical day as a Zoman will look like

 

  • You will be responsible for managing the Neutrality and Sneak Peek Operations team and ensure that the members of the team deliver on their KRAs

  • You will be required to be fully appraised of Neutrality policies and use them to take decisions on a review’s visibility on the platform. This may require you to deal with multiple stakeholders including Sales, Restaurant Partners, Content team, Gold team etc. to get to the bottom of the issue and resolve it

  • You will be the 3rd layer of escalation for both teams and this may require you to deal with difficult clients and other stakeholders

  • Develop productive relationships and drive the program management of core teams for execution

  • Manage relationships with all our stakeholders (Users, Merchants, internal Zomato teams, third party vendors, creative agencies) to help escalate and move things along

  • Ensure that Sneak Peek operations are moving smoothly and as per our monthly defined targets. You will need to be very proactive and escalate any obstacles to relevant stakeholders to resolve them independently within stipulated time

  • Work with Product team(s) and give them Neutrality & SneakPeek related requirements to improve both the reviews / photos product as well as improve team efficiency. You will need to have a knack to proactively come up with suggestions on how to better operational efficiency as well as product experience

  • Analyze and use data to create performance reports that effectively communicate value to partners.
