About Zomato 

Zomato is a full stack food tech platform focused on restaurant search, discovery and transactions. Across most of our focus countries, we’re the go to food app for all our users. In the last few years Zomato has also steadily built its transaction business on the back of a strong search and discovery business. Today Zomato has multiple products and services that ensure our users have a great meal, every time!


We provide in-depth information for over 1 million restaurants across 24 countries. Zomato gets over 90 million sessions a month globally from users who want to search, discover, transact, rate, and review restaurants; as well as to create their own personal networks of foodies for trusted recommendations. We are also a leading player in food delivery, table reservations in our core markets and have also successfully launched two user subscription services - Zomato Gold and Zomato Treats.


Zomato plays a critical role in restaurant ecosystem as well. Restaurants improve their discoverability and service through Zomato’s reviews and rating system. Restaurant use Zomato’s hyperlocal advertising platform to reach out to more users. Additionally, products like Zomato Order help them grow their delivery business and Zomato Book helps optimize their table reservations. We are actively working on tech and processes to improve restaurant operations - ZIS and Zomato Hygiene are some new projects to address the same. The aim is to continue creating cutting-edge technology to seamlessly connect restaurant businesses and customers in ways that will revolutionise the industry.


Over the next few years one of our organizational goals is to build an engine that allows our users to have access to an affordable assortment of high quality meals to eat out or order from. We are working towards the idea of a kitchen-less world where-in most people should have access to great and healthy meals at the same price or cheaper than the cost of preparing them at home. We see cooking as something that people should want to do because it’s a joyous activity instead of being a chore.


About the role:

The role of a Marketing Associate is quite varied. It's about organising and coordinating multiple marketing activities to help grow Zomato’s user base, and brand recall in the local market while helping the business achieve sales results.


The scope of the role of Marketing Associate and how much contribution the marketing function can make, mostly depend on the individual’s willingness to push the boundaries and take initiative to run with excellent execution.


Here's what you'll do day-to-day:

  • Take on a complete and holistic marketing role overseeing the PR, Social Media, Advertising & Promotion, Events, Influencer and Partnership roles
  • Keep ahead of current food, social, and cultural trends and events in your city and weave Zomato’s brand presence into them
  • Help build Zomato's brand locally through various large events and activations
  • Drive and implement below the line initiatives such as doors stickers, restaurant table cards and digital presence on restaurant social media and websites
  • Attend, host and participate in business conferences, business launches and smaller meetups
  • Develop and implement a Social Media & PR content strategy incorporating multiple departments, partners and campaigns
  • To become the face of Zomato in the Doha foodie community and ensuring Zomato's almost obsessive customer delight to all stakeholders
  • To continually analyse and report on the internal/external environment, identify threats and opportunities and continually grow

Requirements

Here's what we're looking for:

  • The ability to strike a balance between creative ideation and hands on execution
  • Strong work ethic, the willingness to get your hands dirty, and get stuff done
  • The ability to learn on the go and deal with demanding work environment
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
  • 2-3 years relevant Marketing/PR experience
  • Written and verbal Arabic communication skills are a plus
  • Eligibility to work in Qatar
