Zomato is a full stack food tech platform focused on restaurant search, discovery and transactions. Across most of our focus countries, we’re the go to food app for all our users. In the last few years Zomato has also steadily built its transaction business on the back of a strong search and discovery business. Today Zomato has multiple products and services that ensure our users have a great meal, every time!
We provide in-depth information for over 1 million restaurants across 24 countries. Zomato gets over 90 million sessions a month globally from users who want to search, discover, transact, rate, and review restaurants; as well as to create their own personal networks of foodies for trusted recommendations. We are also a leading player in food delivery, table reservations in our core markets and have also successfully launched two user subscription services - Zomato Gold and Zomato Treats.
Zomato plays a critical role in restaurant ecosystem as well. Restaurants improve their discoverability and service through Zomato’s reviews and rating system. Restaurant use Zomato’s hyperlocal advertising platform to reach out to more users. Additionally, products like Zomato Order help them grow their delivery business and Zomato Book helps optimize their table reservations. We are actively working on tech and processes to improve restaurant operations - ZIS and Zomato Hygiene are some new projects to address the same. The aim is to continue creating cutting-edge technology to seamlessly connect restaurant businesses and customers in ways that will revolutionise the industry.
Over the next few years one of our organizational goals is to build an engine that allows our users to have access to an affordable assortment of high quality meals to eat out or order from. We are working towards the idea of a kitchen-less world where-in most people should have access to great and healthy meals at the same price or cheaper than the cost of preparing them at home. We see cooking as something that people should want to do because it’s a joyous activity instead of being a chore.
About the role:
Zomato Advertising platform provides smart targeting, simpler interface and greater visibility to our well rated advertisers. As a Business Development Officer, you will play a key role in acquiring and engaging the right set of restaurants to use Zomato’s Advertising platform and help them derive maximum value from it.
