About the role

Ensuring a seamless delivery experience is an integral part of ordering food online. Zomato aims to bring the best in class delivery experience to users. This role will be working to build a great food delivery fleet and scaling logistics in every city.


Here is what you’ll do day-to-day

Top of the funnel/ Onboarding - Over the years, the number of delivery partners at Zomato has considerably increased. We kickstarted with 1.8k delivery partners in Sept’17 and are now at 280k+ partners.

How do we do this?

  • Prepare hiring targets for the city basis the demand growth plan
  • Identify various sources to hire Riders and train them as per the projections and TAT
  • Ideate and execute multiple BTL activities for hiring Riders
  • Assess geo-expansion opportunities

Support and Engagement - It’s not only important for us to constantly motivate our fleet, but also keep them informed on how they’re doing on a real-time basis.

How do we do this?

  • Analyze Rider performance metrics and drive the supply team for controlling parameters
  • Build efficiency in support processes for improving Rider experience
  • Resolve rider issues and run retention programs for Riders in a cost-effective manner
  • Design and send out Rider communication daily

Quality and Payout - In a generation consumed by impatience, instant gratification is a magical way of motivating someone, be it through words or actual benefits we receive from any sort of service or transaction.

How do we do this?

  • Define Rider service quality parameters for better customer and merchant experience
  • Monitor key quality metrics at Rider level and ensure they are under tolerance level
  • Run exercises for filtering delivery executive for non-adherence to quality standards
  • Design the payout and incentive structure

Requirements

Who fits the bill?

  • Must be an Engineer, while MBA is good to have
  • Must have 5 to 7 years of experience in operations, consulting, or consumer goods
  • Someone good at excel, with the ability to monitor, manage, manipulate and draw insights from data
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and public speaking skills
  • Should be comfortable with ambiguity and unpredictable work hours
